The Toronto protocol (2011) children

Adrenocortical carcinoma

Brain tumor

Soft tissue and bone sarcoma

Leukaemia or lymphoma

 

Ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis every 3–4 months

Annual brain MRI

Annual rapid total body MRI

Blood test every 4 months: complete blood count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, lactate dehydrogenase

 

Complete urinalysis every 3–4 months

   
 

Blood tests every 4 months: β-human chorionic gonadotropin, alpha-fetoprotein, 17-OH-progesterone, testosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate, and rostenedione

   

The SWEP53 Protocol children

Ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis every 3–4 months

Complete urinalysis every 3–4 months

None unless suspicion raised at the clinical check-up performed every 3 months
